Secrets of Online Persuasion
| "The book Secrets of Online Persuasion is BRILLIANT! Deb and JP really get it but more importantly, they show you how to get it as well. I have the pleasure of having Deb as a guest on my radio show but it was only after reading this book that I understood how she was using the old media and making it new. I had so many ideas blasting off in my head that it was like a fireworks show! Thanks for opening my eyes…now if you wouldn’t mind keeping this book secret so my competition never learns how to use the new media!" |

"Friends; families; relationships; cults; tribes … They all have one thing in common. Persuasion. In today’s rapidly changing marketplace, we all hope to deepen our relationships with people and create a swarm of hungry customers. Or, as the Miceks so aptly demonstrate, we should be creating tribes." … from the forward to Secrets of Online Persuasion |

Aloha Frank and Mahalo for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed the excerpt so far. We’re in Baltimore this week at the The Internet Marketing Main Event speaking and starting the buzz for the launch on the book. Missing the sunshine and trades!
Look for the release announcement soon. Ingram is telling us late October/November.
Enjoy!

Great meeting you two in Baltimore!
Devoured the book on the plane ride home! Great stuff.
Can’t wait to get started on the whole enchilada!

I can hardly wait to read more than this first chapter that I received to review. What an eye-opener!
No wonder some of the concepts I had been using and following aren’t working!
Learning so much from just the “opening chapter” tells me that anybody that markets online or offline should have this “business bible” on their desk… and IN their Head!

Hi - you may moderate out my comment, but I want to give feedback anyway . . . Did the people quoted above read something different to what I got? I didn’t find it very useful, sorry. I wanted some meaty information and good ideas. Maybe those come later in the book, but the first part I read was what we call “waffle” here in Australia - a lot of words that kindof make you sound like you know what you are talking about but the actual content is full of vague concepts with some campaign promises thrown in. I’m not sold on the book by what I got to read so far. It may be a great book - you’ve got some good endorsements - but the excerpt hasn’t sold me. I’m hungry for information, so bait me with meat and maybe I’ll bite your hook!

Aloha Stacey. Thanks for your comment, and no we would never “moderate out” any comment unless it were using profanity or senseless language.
As you can see from the excerpt this is one chapter (15 pages) out of 20 chapters (and over 300 pages.) Clearly, as with any well written book, the foreward, introduction, and first section lay the foundation for the “meat” that comes later.
When the book is released later this month obviously you’ll have the opportunity to add an expanded/amended opinion on how much “meat” you got. In the meantime, if you’re looking to be baited with “meat,” look no further thatn the most recent 3-part series we did here on Advanced Business Blogging. And if you’re looking for something specific, just do a search of our archives from the last two years and I’m sure you’ll find enough to get started.
I’d love to reference some more specific “meat” for you, but since your comment didn’t include a website and your email address is using an ISP not a real business URL, I have no way to tell what your business niche, experience, or expertise is.
Good hunting!

Hi Jean Paul,
I just finished reading the excerpt.
I have to say this undeniably looks like one of the most important works on the new internet I have ever come accross.
Great stuff.
I didn’t see how to leave a trackback, but I’ve written my thoughts here:
