Blogging Boom? Blogging Bust? Who cares? Here’s What Matters to Business Owners and Marketers!
Are you using business blogs to market online and concerned with what “experts” are predicting about the future of blogging? Or maybe you’ve been on the fence waiting to get started marketing with business blogs, podcasts, and social networks like MySpace. On the fence because you’re confused whether it’s worth the effort.
Either way… this audio podcast and transcript will help clear the muddy waters, shift your attention off the “technology,” and get you focused on what really matters most about New Media Marketing.
Since early in 2005 the “blogging boom or bust” mantra has been bandied about by both the offline and online media. As recently as this month there have been articles written about the slowing growth of the blogosphere. (The mass media conglomerates would love nothing more than to see an end to the erosion of their power.) And the guidance of blogging evangelists can be just as damaging to the marketing mindset of the average business person looking to market online.
If you’re a business owner, marketer, or network sales professional this audio that I came across in our unpublished podcast archives will set things straight for you.
Long Live the New Media Marketing Revolution!
Marketing with New Media goes way beyond blogs to using a simple matrix of podcasts, social networking, RSS, and other New Media tools. But your business blog is the core of that New Media Marketing Matrix. And that’s why even though this podast was recorded back in February 2006 and never published, Deb and I felt that it was important to release it now.
NOTE: This podcast was recorded in April of 2005 and archived without being published for concern that it may be too controversial. Since the topic has not died down, and since so many business owners new to online marketing question what role blogs, podcasts, and social networks like MySpace play in their online marketing efforts — I decided to resurrect it. Besides, now that our new book Secrets of Online Persuasion has been released to rave reviews, I really don’t care how controversial what I have to say might sound. I know I’m right!

One article and a press incident mentioned in the podcast are from early in 2005. And the “Marketing With Business Blogs” course mentioned is sold out and no longer available (replaced by the October release BLOG interactive 360, also sold out).
Regardless — the core content of this New Media Marketing Podcast is timeless!
If you’re looking for a competitive edge in marketing with business blogs and New Media, one that can’t be gained with “technology” on it’s own — you must listen to this podcast for an inspiring outlook on your New Media marketing efforts.
This podcast is so important for you as a business owner and marketer that we even had the podcast transcribed for you. You can download the transcript by clicking the image below.
Enjoy!
